Target Audience Of Artist

Aundrea Fimbres is very popular as she has nearly 668,000 followers of myspace. This Myspace is her former girl group 'Danity Kane' myspace. So they were extremely popular when they were together.

Before Aundrea fimbres started recording her solo music, she was part of an American Hip Hop girl group called 'Danity Kane'. Danity Kane made billboard chart history as their two albums 'Danity Kane' and 'Welcome to the dollhouse' debuted at number one in the first week of, release they are the first girl group who has ever achieved this. Danity Kane also made history again as their second album 'Welcome to the dollhouse' became the fastest selling album of the billboard chart history so far, selling over 236,000 in just one week.

On a YouTube video of her song 'Brush You Off', it shows that females aged 13-17, 18-24 and 25-34 are the main target audience. Which means that 'Brush You Off' appeals to them the most. Also Aundrea Fimbres is most popular in the United States and some parts of Canada and the youtube video isn't been watched as much by other parts of the world. This could be because Aundrea Fimbres is only known in North America as the girl group she was in only released music in the United States.

Before Danity Kane broke up and this was at the peak of Aundrea's music career so far, they featured in an American music magazine called Dub. This Magazine is targeted at males, so Aundrea Fimbres also appeals to males 18+. You can tell that this is appeared at males as the girls are posing in a sexual way and in slightly revealing clothing.

Blog four- Letter to Record company

This is the letter I wrote to Aundrea Fimbres record label Atlantic Records. It is important to write this to the record label as they have copyright to the song 'Brush You Off'.
It is important for record labels to use copyright on their artists songs because this means that other artists from different record labels cannot take the credit for the songs and the public cannot download songs for free legally.

Song Choice

The song choice that me and my group have chosen for our music video is called 'Brush You Off' by Aundrea Fimbres. The song is a mid tempo Pop/R&B track with an electro influence in some parts of the song. We chose to do this song because it has deep and meaningful lyrics, with the vocals showing the emotion. This means me and my group could put our creativity with the emotion into our music video.

Songs we didn't choose:
Katy Perry: E.T- We decided against this song because it has very sexual lyrics, if we did decide to use this song, our music video could be seen as inappropiate.

Lady Gaga: Monster- Again this song has quite sexual lyrics and we wanted to use a song that was meaningful.

Aundrea Fimbres ‘Brush You off’ lyrics
Oh
I’m letting go
I’m letting go
I’m letting go
Go, Go, Oh

Been hurt in the past
Don’t want to take it no more
I’ve played this game
I don’t want to play it no more
I scream at you, you scream at me
We attempt to make up
Can’t bring down each other anymore
Who are we fooling, we just need to let go
That’s what I’ve got to do
Need to let go of you

Try to walk away, you still stay
You get up all in my face
I can’t believe that we
Let it get here
I’m letting go
Take all my things, close the door
Can’t take the screaming no more
This ain’t no good for me
Time for me to leave
I’m letting go

I’ve got to brush you off (7x)

Ain’t trying to be mean but I’ve got to do this
But I’m not gonna lie it’s gonna be you that I miss
I’m hating you, you’re hating me
With days just like this
And it’s no longer cured with your kiss
What are we doing, we just need to let go
That’s what I’ve got to do, need to let go of you.

Try to walk away, you still stay
You get up all in my face
I can’t believe that we
Let it get here
I’m letting go
Take all my things, close the door
Can’t take the screaming no more
This ain’t no good for me
Time for me to leave
I’m letting go

I’ve got to brush you off (7x)

I’m letting go
I’m letting go
I’m letting go
Go, Go, Oh

Try to walk away, you still stay
You get up all in my face
I can’t believe that we
Let it get here
I’m letting go
Take all my things, close the door
Can’t take the screaming no more
This ain’t no good for me
Time for me to leave
I’m letting go

I’ve got to brush you off (7x)

I’m letting go
I’m letting go
I’m letting go
Go, Go, Oh
